Furnace Troubles

Our furnace is getting on in years, well over 20 years old. It has been acting up a lot and we had to have the service guy come out twice in the same week. The first time it was the filter plug, but the second time there was a lot of drilling and banging and finally he came up to ask me to come down and see something.

He found these in our intake pipe. How funny! From the condition of the eggs, and the contents inside, these eggs were not from this year. Chances are, these were hidden last year in the intake pipe on the side of our house. When the furnace came on, it sucked them into the pipe and eventually they got stuck, causing our furnace to act up. Most likely it was an adult that hid them there, since this year was the first year that the teens hid the eggs for the little ones.

CDT Classical Showcase

Our school kids presented an amazing showcase at their classical school. It is amazing what these students can accomplish!

Before their school changed over to a classical curriculum, the big thing in the spring was the science fair. Those of you who know me know I despise science fairs. This show case is a wonderful display of student achievement- drama, poetry, music, recitation- all done together with their classes and sometimes across the grade levels. Well done CDT school!

The Lion King Jr

Isaac was Banzai in Latrobe Junior High's production of The Lion King, Jr. We are so impressed with our hyena and all of the students in the production.

Great job Isaac and to all the participates of the musical! WAY TO GO!!!

A couple weeks late, but better late than never. We had a lovely Easter with a short visit from Mema and Pepa and semi-decent weather.

A cake creation by Isaac

Enjoying a dinner out before Mema and Pepa returned to Georgia

Look Who's Seven!!!!

Seven is such a magical age for a little boy. I am so happy to have a seven-year old in the house again.

Malcolm's birthday was on Good Friday, so we had a two day celebration with presents and birthday lunch on one day, and cake and favorite foods on the following day.

His birthday lunch at New City Buffet.

Happy Birthday Malcolm! We love you more than you can imagine!
