We spent Fall Break exploring the beaches of Delaware! The weather wasn't great, but we had a wonderful time and got to explore a state we had never been to before.
On our way. First time trying oysters for Henry.
Michael at Dewey Beach.
We popped down to Ocean City Maryland to check out the sites.
Despite the cold and rain, the boardwalk was a busy place!
The kites were so amazing to watch!
In the loft of the house we rented. That thing was so scary and dangerous the kids had to sneak up there when I wasn't looking or I wouldn't let them go!
At Rehoboth Beach and boardwalk. A much nicer experience than Ocean City.
On Sunday the rain stopped and it warmed up enough to get in the water. Boogie boards and wave jumping HERE WE COME!
The sand was perfect for building!
Evie assumed everything built was built just for her. A hole to sit in or a castle to knock down.
She also "helped" as much as possible.
Oh! Mimi dug a hole just for Evie!
Notice how she sat perfectly on the wall. Henry made the perfect seat just for her.
We put a movie on for the kids and snuck out to Dog Fish Head Brewery.
At Dewey Beach. Too cold to swim, so kites, sandcastles, and finding shells helped pass the time.
Evie with her favorite thing in the whole wide world.
On the way home we stopped for a few hours in Annapolis Maryland.
Overall, although the weather didn't always cooperate, it was a great trip!
