On Sunday, February 21, 2016, we welcomed Evelyn Rose to our family.
Evelyn decided that a precipitous birth was the most merciful for her past-due mother. We left the house just after 7:00 p.m. and she arrived at 7:41 p.m.
There was no time for a doctor or my doula and barely time to get into a hospital room. It was just me, four nurses, and a soon-to-be born baby girl! We'd only been in the room three minutes when she made her appearance.
Michael got stuck at admissions and then had to park the car, so even he missed her grand entrance.
Going home. Monday, February 22 at 8:30 p.m.
Welcome Home sign and balloons!
Cards from the LMCA students!
Malcolm made her a measuring tape so we could keep track of how big she's getting.
A morning beauty.
We are blessed beyond measure.
