More Sledding

Much to the disappointment of the kids, we haven't gotten a ton of snow this year. When we do get decent snowfall, we generally try to go sledding out at St. Vincent.

Michael built Isaac a little ramp and we brought it with us to the slopes.

Oh! But wait! The college kids beat us at our own game. Using a long table they have constructed a ramp as well.

The consensus was that it hurts when you land. Plus, the table was getting pretty beat up, so we decided not to risk it anymore.

Why the sad face? Because he didn't get to go off the ramp like the big boys.

But he does get to go down the hill on a ski sled. So life is still good.

One little girl had fun without going off any jumps.

But the brothers weren't too sure that would be fun at all.

Neither was the papa.

Weekly ReCap

We had a wonderful Epiphany and end to the Christmas season.

It's been pretty cold this week. On Sunday it was in the 60's (no joke) and then on Monday it was high of 25. Then it was zero for a few days. Now it is back to a comfortable 25.

We finally got some snow. My kids were beyond excited. Of course for a few of the days it  was too cold to even go outside, but we managed a few excursions.

Isaac got a snowboard for Christmas from his Godparents.

I had the older boys so close together that a lot of times when I see something awesome, I buy three of them. I think it's so great that Isaac gets these amazing gifts, just for him, from his Godparents.

He was amazing on the snowboard from the start.

Isaac also received a Razor snow scooter, just like a regular scooter, but on skies. Everyone enjoyed giving this a try, except me. I got scared right away. That thing goes fast!

Even Malcolm enjoyed the snow.

James practiced all sorts of sledding stunts.

They didn't always end up so well.
