My brother bought my grandmother's house a few years ago and has changed the downstairs rec rooms into a home theater. It is too cool not to share the link the tells the story of how it came to be and also shows before and after photos. He should really have a blog that describes all the cool stuff he's doing with the house. He doesn't agree, but click the link to check out the transformation and decide for yourself.
Look who finished Shurley Grammar for the year!
Unlike other homeschooling families, once we finish a curriculum for the year, we are done. I rarely start the next level before we have to for the next schooling year. I love this time of year because our school day becomes shorter and we are able to play more and enjoy the increasingly beautiful weather.
Someone was happy to find the markers had been left unattended.
Less than a month until my kids present history projects to their recitation group.
Isaac is doing clocks, James is doing Medieval history, and Henry is doing trains.
Part of James' project requires a bunch of cooking, following medieval recipes.
Herb bread. Yes, he did make these dishes himself, although I insisted on helping him get them in and out of the oven.
My sweet Margie is sick. No fever, but she has thrown up a few times, one of those times at our recitation/ book club yesterday. Sorry Ronni and Debbie! Hopefully she is better soon.
