Malcolm is growing faster than any of us want him to. He doesn't say much that we understand; he alternates between constant high-pitched shrieking and saying "Wha da?" while he points at a thousand different things. I'm still waiting for the classic "Mama." He LOVES to be outside or in the tub. Sometimes he'll drink milk instead of eat a meal (Henry used to do the same thing).
Overall he is our largest baby so far, weighing in at 25 pounds and wearing 24 month clothing at 14 months. James was 16 pounds at 12 months. Malcolm has taken some steps but isn't walking quite yet. It's pretty obvious he'll be our youngest walker with the runner-up Margaret who walked just shy of 18 months.
We're planning to take Malcolm to an allergist to see if there is a reason behind all this screaming besides the fact that he may just be a brat. Possibly the most-loved and doted on brat that ever lived. Youngest of five in a family that adores babies? No, he couldn't possibly be spoiled! Still it would be awful for him to have an undiagnosed allergy, like wheat, that is actually hurting him and we keep giving it to him to eat. Hopefully this summer that'll be resolved.
