7 Quick Takes

Margaret's room got a mini-facelift this week after she put her foot through her window. She wasn't hurt at all, there was just a hole in the window slightly bigger than her foot. A result of sommersaults on the bed. So I moved things around and now her bed is only slightly by a window.

It's funny because the boys were in that room for four years and they had direct access to not one, but two windows and they were a lot more wild than Margaret. I can remember flips and sword fighting with wooden swords and jumping from the loft bed to the bunk bed. But there was never a broken window.
The boys had such a busy week this week! They were on a Father/Son camping trip Sunday-Monday-Tuesday, and then at Cub Scout Day Camp on Wednesday-Thursday-Friday. They LOVE the Father/Son camping trip. The consensus is still out on the Cub Scout Day Camp. It is 8:30am until 4:00pm, so it's a longer scheduled day than they are used to.
Margaret and I are having all sorts of fun while the boys are away. We hosted a birthday party for a fellow homeschooling mom, we went to the zoo, and on Wednesday I got a sitter for Margaret while I went to sewing. She adored the sitter, and I came home to her hair nicely styled and lots of stories of what they did.
Father's Day is Sunday. Our annual Father's Day hike is postponed this year because Sunday is the start day for Michael's Faith and Reason Institute. The next couple weeks are pretty full, so not sure when it'll be rescheduled.
We are desperately trying to get a move on with our adoption! We are currently trying to get our homestudy updated. This is the thing we have been trying to do before Easter! It is very frustrating to be help up so long on something that should be fairly simple to get done. It is hard not to be impatient.
I know it's not officially summer, but it feels as though this summer is whizzing by! Slow down! Slow down!

Your troop sounds like such a hoot! I love your cheerful mothering heart with them.

I am enjoying your posts and updates. Glad your daughter wasn't hurt in the summersault-meets-window endeavor!
