Preschool at our house mostly involves a self-guided curriculum where Margaret does what work she wants, when she wants. She is currently working on learning her letters through hands-on activities and through creating a letter book.
She also enjoys listening the the boys history reading and sometimes completing a narration.
She often tells me that she is "patient" and waits for me to complete schooling the boys so she and I can do "her" schoolwork uninterrupted. I don't have a lot planned for this age, and my main goal is to offer a literature-rich learning environment without spending any money. Our library has an amazing resource center where we are able to check out all sorts of preschool manipulatives. By allowing her to set her own learning schedule, I am making sure that she is ready and open to the school environment.
