I know I post a lot of photos of Margaret, but she is just so cute!

In this photo she is trying to crawl down the sidewalk after James who is riding his new bike. He keeps circling her and this is right before she decided to cry about not being able to keep up. You can see James in the shadow.

James' Birthday

Here are some photos from April 26. We just had a small family celebration for James. We are having a larger celebration for his first Holy Communion and Birthday in May.He didn't actually get these moon shoes, but this photo was too cute not to post.

He wanted apple pie instead of cake.

Margaret found the presents beforehand and started them off for James.

Margaret also loved the new bike that James got.

James with his remote control robot from Grammy and Grandpa Bob. I have to admit that this robot is pretty fun to play with.

Sunny Weekend Weather

We currently do not have this weather anymore, but I thought I would share some photos from last weekend when it was in the mid 80s.

Yes, several times children would slide off the end of the slip and slide and into the side of the planter box. When you have a sloped yard that is the size of a master bedroom, safetly measures go out the window.

Happy Birthday James!

Seven years ago today I began the most amazing and rewarding adventure of my life. I became a mother. James Malachi Robert was born during a snow storm. We owned no car, no taxi would come during the storm, when we finally found transportation we got lost on the way to the hospital. Once we arrived, we learned that the hospital had lost power due to the storm and there was no way to page the doctor. James was born at a Harvard teaching hospital and a group of young interns witnessed his birth. The nervous man who caught James smiled widely and announced "It's a boy!" It was one of the happiest days of my life.
James gets to share his birthday with my Grandma Phyllis. I believe he came five days early just to please her.

Another day, another tutu

I made Margaret this cute purple tutu this morning. She clapped when I put it on her.

She was totally born into the right family.

Fun at the Park

Celebrating Earth Day

On Saturday the kids and I went to a local Earth Day Festival. The weather was perfect so we parked at the SVC campus and walked down to the Nature Reserve for the festival.James ran the entire way. That child has so much energy!

I made the kids stare into the sun so that I could try to get a photo of the four of them with the basilica in the background.

Part of the fun was getting to plant some seeds. Here they are each planting some Black-eyed Susans.

Henry was much more interested in burying the shovels and dumping dirt on his sandals.

Isaac smiled the whole time.

Margaret chilled in the stroller.

There was also a spinning wheel. Henry was the first to discover it and he was already at it by the time the rest of us got over there.

Everyone had to try it.

Some college students were offering tattoes and so James and Isaac had to each get one.

Then it was time to pose for another photo. I was so nervous about Margaret following off this rock that I didn't even try to get them all to smile.

On the way out we noticed the Honey Bee display. Henry noted that it was a good thing those bees didn't live in our microwave. He's right!
